What an exciting day yesterday. It's amazing how, even down here in Dominica,people were celebrating.
Our friend in the photo, Stefan, called us about 6pm all excited. "Auntie Patti, Auntie Patti , are you watching the President on T.V.? " Yes, Stepfan, isn't it wonderful?"
"Yes, yes. I watching since I come home from school!"
When I was ten years old I wasn't aware of what was happening in my own backyard much less the rest of the world. Well, I was aware of the great climbing trees in my backyard that's about it.

Aretha Franklin sing! She still has it.
