This is a great blog. We met Jen and her husband at a Christmas dinner of a mutual friend the first year we moved here.
She is a talented writer. Jen is funny, informative and she speaks the truth.
Dominica is one absolutely beautiful island with breathtaking views but living here is difficult at times.
The trick is to have lots and lots of patience and have a really good sense of humor. Learn to laugh at the absurd and yourself. I laugh more here than I ever have. Still working on the patience thing.
Don't expect things to get done in a timely fashion. Make friends and find a home with a great view so at the end of a troublesome day you can sit back and enjoy the view. Oh yeah.
