This is a picture of a young banana tree in our backyard. They are slowly coming back. No bananas as yet. The banana industry is huge here and, sadly, 90% of the crops were devastated by " Mean Dean".It is very strange not being able to buy bananas anywhere. An American friend gave us some a couple weeks ago and come to find out, they were from Costa Rica.
I miss Dominican grown. They are very good. Very sweet.
